YOUR NOTEBOOK, YOUR PEOPLE

Privacy & sharing

Mindlistly keeps the things you want to share separate from the gift plans you want to keep a surprise.

Your personal notebook

Your profile, wishes, saved people, private gift ideas, reminder settings, and gift plans are stored in the site's database. Existing accounts use ChatGPT sign-in. Email and Google sign-in are being prepared with Supabase, which will process your email address and sign-in information when connected. Authentication cookies keep you signed in; they are not used for advertising. Connecting a new sign-in to an existing notebook requires you to sign in to both accounts. Personal contact notes and ideas are only available to your account.

Sharing a wishlist

A wishlist link shows your name, birthday, bio, interests, and wishlist to signed-in people who have the link and can access this site. Share it only with people you intend to invite. You can reset the link in Settings to invalidate the old URL.

Keeping a surprise

You do not receive reservation details for your own wishlist. Shared gift plans check the linked recipient's identity and keep those plans hidden from them. For a manually added contact, keep the group-gift link away from the recipient.

Group-gift pledges

Pledges record the amount someone intends to contribute. Mindlistly does not collect, hold, or transfer money in this version. Group members with the link can see the target, total pledged, number of contributors, and their own pledge.

Reminders

Reminders appear inside the notebook. Calendar export downloads an .ics file containing the names and birthdays you saved; you decide which calendar receives it. Email and push delivery are not connected.

Shared scrapbooks & hints

Scrapbooks are visible to their owner and members. Anyone with an invitation link can sign in and choose to join. Members can add and edit their own wishes. Owners can add connected friends, remove members, replace invitation links, or delete the whole scrapbook. Removing a member also replaces the invitation link. Leaving or being removed keeps your saved contributions in the book; delete them before leaving if you do not want to keep them there.

Hints are visible only to you and people you have both connected with. Sidebar notes and personal contact notes are private. You can delete your hints at any time.

Shop previews

When you paste a product link, Mindlistly asks the shop for public product information such as its title, image and price. No account details are sent to the shop. Product images may load from the shop’s server in your browser. Some shops block previews or omit details; you can always save a link and edit it yourself. Prices can change, so check the shop before buying.

This first version

Mindlistly is publicly accessible. Your notebook still requires sign-in, and shared links only expose the content described here. Example notebooks and inspiration imagery are illustrative. No affiliate commissions or sponsored placements are active.

Managing your information

You can edit your profile, remove wishes and people, delete private thoughts and gift plans, withdraw your own pledges, and reset your wishlist share link from the app. Browser preferences do not contain your saved notebook records.
